MATERIALS & CARE

Concrete

We have developed our own unique concrete mix design of recycled sands and aggregates, cement, admixtures and pigments and finish them with our own bespoke sealing process. All of our products are delivered from our factory with a pre-applied seal.
We finish our basins with a wax, which further protects the surface and gives an attractive sheen to the surface.
To help maintain your concrete basin, we provide the following guidelines:
When cleaning your basin.

- Soft cloth, warm water and liquid soap. That's all. Simple. Download Datasheet.
We recommend using warm water on a soft cloth with a little washing up liquid, followed by drying with another cloth. We have found E cloths to be the best. Do NOT use abrasive pads or cream cleaners as they can gradually remove the protective sealant.

- Additional applications of stone cream polish or liquid or solid wax can be reapplied periodically to maintain the attractive finish of your basin.

Notes.

Surfaces are vulnerable to acid attack and some strong substances such as household cleaners or disinfectants can cause etching or discolouration. Such liquids are best wiped away as soon as possible.

Do not use products containing solvents. Doing so will remove the sealant and leave the concrete susceptible to staining. If this should happen, rinse the surface as soon as possible.
There are many products on the market that contain solvents, such as brush cleaners and even sealer. It is important that you check the ingredients label before using the product on the surface. We recommend that you a suitable container instead instead of the basin.

Avoid using bleach-based cleaners on your basin, as repeated use can gradually damage the sealant and lead to surface discoloration over time. If bleach is accidentally spilled, rinse the area thoroughly with clean water as soon as possible to prevent any harm.

Abrasive cloths / sponges should never be used as they can permanently damage or erode the sealant - exposing the concrete to potential staining.
Cream cleaners should never be used. These products have small particulates that can gradually erode the sealant on the surface - exposing the concrete to potential staining.

Avoid impacts from heavy objects onto the concrete as the edges are vulnerable to chipping and cracking.

When using cleaning or polish products always follow the manufacturers guidelines and test in a small inconspicuous area before applying to the entire surface.

Following these guidelines keep your basin in the best condition and limit the effects of everyday use.

Wood

Solid wood is a natural, living material that constantly interacts with its environment. Over time, it absorbs and releases moisture and humidity. During warmer months, the wood may expand as it takes in moisture, while in cooler months, it can shrink as it expels moisture.
To clean your solid wood furniture, gently wipe it with a damp cloth, then follow up with a dry cloth to ensure all excess moisture is removed. If needed, you can use a mild soap on the surface, but avoid harsh chemical cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
